Dating Drought

A few months ago I was dating four women at the same time, one of which lived in Cape Town. Recently though I’ve been going through a dry spell. So this past week I got a little excited because I felt like things were looking up again. At my weekly salsa class I’ve been meeting plenty of new women. My focus has really been to improve my dancing skills because I’m not shy when it comes to dancing. But as a better dancer it is increasing my confidence even more. So most of the women are friendly and you could say I’m not capitalising on it. Well I am just taking my time and building some friendships.

Previously I’ve written about social proof and this is really my goal. To expand my social network of female friends. Especially ones who are comfortable dancing and mostly are friendly and confident. So I’ve been out with two of the women and it bodes well for 2007. It takes tremendous courage to keep a positive mental attitude during the dry periods. My goal is not to date the women from the salsa class. If it happens great. My goal is to keep expanding my social network. There is some research that says the power of a network is equal to the square of the number of nodes. I will explore this in some more detail in the future. For now I’m going to use the holiday mode to try out a new tip by Brent, an American Dating coach who specialises in direct game. I highly recommend you sign up for his brilliant newsletter at Absolute Power Dating!
